The family home was Yewbank, 33 Glasgow Street, Helensburgh The son of William Pitcairn Robley and Edith Robley.
Siblings: John had one sister, Edith and one brother, Harrington, who also served in the Royal Navy.

John Robley was born in Glasgow and brought up in Helensburgh where his father was a Dairy Proprietor. He was educated at Larchfield and Loretto Schools before entering the offices of William Jacks & Co., ship builders of Port Dundas, Glasgow.
John applied for, and was granted, a commission in the Royal Navy in October, 1914, joining the 'Nelson' Battalion.
John died, shot through the head by a sniper whilst entrenched under heavy fire. He was 20 years old.

The family home was Hopewell Cottage, Helensburgh The son of William Robertson, (widower) and Jane Robertson.
Siblings: William had one brother, Samuel, serving with the Seaforth Highlanders who died at Loos in September, 1915. He also had another brother, Malcolm and four sisters, Isabella, Chrissie, Winifred and Catherine.

William Robertson was born in Fife and brought up in Helensburgh where his father was an engineer with the North British Boats.
William was a professional soldier, joining the Scots Greys in 1910 and served in India, then transferring to the Black Watch.
William died at Loos, only a few months after being promoted to Corporal.
He was killed in action in what was described as a 'gallant but unsuccessful attack at the front'. He was 27 years of age.

Siblings: Samuel had 1 brother, William, serving with the Black Watch who died at Loos in May 1915. He also had another brother, Malcolm and four sisters, Isabella, Chrissie, Winifred and Catherine.

Samuel Robertson was born in Helensburgh and brought up in the town where his father was an engineer with the North British Boats.
Samuel was employed as a motor driver (public bar) before enlisting. He is pictured in the uniform of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and may have joined their ranks and transferred later.
Samuel died, killed in action, at Loos aged 26 years. His remains were not recovered.

The family home was 18, Colquhoun Street, Helensburgh, the son of George Robertson and Williamina McIntosh Robertson (Mina)..
Siblings: David had three younger brothers, George, Hector and James and a sister Jessie. George served with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
David Robertson
 David Robertson was born in Helensburgh where is father was a badge porter and he was brought up in the town. He was a choirboy at St Michaels and All Angels Church.
He emigrated to Australia and returned with the Australian Expeditionary Force to fight for his home country. Listed as wounded in May 1915, he was brought back to Scotland to recover and then returned to duty.
David died at Gallipoli, killed in action. He was 24 years old. David's brother-in-law, Jack Taylor, died in 1917 and is also named on the memorial.

The family home was Kintillo, 18 Stafford Street, Helensburgh The son of George H Robb (solicitor) and Grace Denholm Armour Robb.
Siblings: alph had two brothers, John and George and a sister Mary. 
Ralph Robb
Ralph Robb was born at Eastwood, Giffnock, his father was a solicitor in Glasgow, later moving to Helensburgh.
He was educated at Larchfield School and was a member of Helensburgh Cricket Club.
Ralph was reported missing in action, later confirmed killed in action at Loos. He was 20 years of age.
His remains were not recovered.

The family home was 8, Prince Albert Terrace, Victoria Road, Helensburgh The son of James Ramsay (widower) of Anne Cottage, Willis Street, Forfar.
Siblings: Frank had an older brother, Herbert and two younger brothers, Norman George and Alfred, and two sisters, Lily and Agnes.
Frank Ramsay
Frank Ramsay was born in Forfar and brought up by his widowed father.
It is believed that Frank moved to Helensburgh when he was employed as second engineer on the steam yacht 'Hebe' owned by Sir Thomas Coat.
He married Esther Lewis at the United Free Church, Scotstoun and lived in Albert Terrace in Helensburgh.
Frank died when his Torpedo Boat. HM TB 96, was involved in a collision in the Straits of Gibraltar. He was lost at sea aged 29.
